Import GTINs into Square

GTIN is the family name for the codes printed in barcodes: UPC-A and GTIN-12 at twelve digits, EAN-13 at thirteen, GTIN-14 for case and pack levels. Square accepts 8, 12, 13 or 14 digits, digits only, so a space or a dash is enough to fail a row. Square also asks that each variation carries its own code instead of sharing one across a size run. This page checks a supplier file against those rules before you import. Every code is measured, grouped by what is wrong with it, and counted. A file of nine hundred good rows and four bad ones tells you which four. The file is read in this tab.
